we know that
(v-u)/t=(v-2.5)/12=2

v=u+at

v = ?
u = 2.5m/s
a = 2m/s²
t = 12 sec

v = 2.5 + 2 X 12
=> 2.5 + 24
=> 26.5m/s
therefore final velocity = 26.5m/s
