Griffin was a notable scientist but he had a cold heart. He felt nothing for a cat who suffered badly due to his experiments and even killed its father too.  and instead of feeling guilty, he justifies his action by calling his father a sentimental fool. He has no moral values he do all kind of cheating stealing and killing. His actions exhibit how morally degraded and self-centered he has become.
