Use second equation for motion:

s=ut+\frac{at^2}2

u=0

then

s=\frac{3*8^2}{2}\\s= 196/2=98m

Answer:

u=0 m/s

v=3 m/s

t=8 sec

a=v-u/t

=3/8 m/s²

=0.375 m/s

s=ut+1/2at²

=0×8+1/2×0.375×(8)²

=0+1/2×375/1000×64

=12m²
