Given

  • Initial velocity (u) = 10m/s
  • Final velocity (v) = 20m/s
  • Time taken (t) = 12s

To find

  • Acceleration = ?

Solution

As we know that

→ v = u + at

→ 20 = 10 + a × 12

→ 20 - 10 = 12a

→ 10 = 12a

→ a = 10/12 = 5/6 m/s²

Hence,

  • Acceleration of motorcycle is 5/6m/

Extra Information

  • Force = mass × acceleration
  • v = u + at {First equation of motion}
  • s = ut + ½ at² {Second equation of motion}
  • v² = u² + 2as {third equation of motion}
  • Pressure = Force/Area

✯✯ QUESTION ✯✯

A motorcycle accelerates uniformly from 10m/s to 20m/s in 12s . Calculate acceleration.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰

\longmapsto\tt{Initial\:Velocity(u)=10m/s}

\longmapsto\tt{Final\:Velocity(v)=20m/s}

\longmapsto\tt{Time\:Taken(t)=12sec}

Using Formula : -

\longmapsto\tt{\small{\boxed{\bold{\bold{\red{\sf{a=\dfrac{v-u}{t}}}}}}}}

Putting Values : -

\longmapsto\tt{a=\dfrac{20-10}{12}}

\longmapsto\tt{a=\cancel\dfrac{10}{12}}

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{a=0.8{m/s}^{2}}

So , Acceleration is 0.8 m/s²..

Acceleration : -

Acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity of an object.In S.I system it is measured in m/s²..It is usually denoted by a..

Formula of Acceleration is : -

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{a=\dfrac{v-u}{t}}
