A motorcycle covers a distance of 72 km at a speed of 36 km/hr and a distance of 135 km/hr at a speed of 45 km/hr find the average speed of a motorcycle.​

Answer:

Let D1 = 71 km

and S1 = 36 km/h

D2 = 135 km

S2 = 45 km/h

average speed = total distance traveld by an object / total time taken by an object

time = distance / speed

T1 = 72/36 = 2h

T2= 135/45 = 3h

average speed = 72 + 135 / 2 + 3

= 207/6 = 34.5 km/ h
