A motorcycle moving with a speed of 5 m/s is subjected to an accelaration of 0.2 m/s2.Calculate the speed of the motorcycle after 10sec ,and the distance travelled in this time

I)Given:

Initial velocity (u)= 5 m/s

Acceleration (a)= 0. 2 m/s^2

Time= 10 sec

Final velocity

By using first equation of motion we get,

v= u+at

v= 5 m/s+ 0.2 m/s^2*10

v= 10 m/s

II) By using second equation of motion we get,

s= ut+ 0.5(at^2)

s= 5 m/s*10 s+ 0.5(0.2 m/s* 10* 20)

s= 50 m + 10 m

s= 60 m
