Given :-

Initial velocity (u) = 0

Final velocity (v) = 6m/s

Time = 3 seconds

To find :-

To find the Acceleration of motorcyclist .

  • By using first equation of motion !

v= u+at

6= 0+ a×3

6= 3a

6/3= a

2= a

Acceleration = 2m/s²

Other equation of motion :-

• S= ut+1/2at²

• v²=u²+2as

Given that, a motorcyclist starts from rest means his initial velocity is 0/s and reaches a speed of 6 m/s after traveling with uniform acceleration for 3 sec.

Here, his final velocity i.e. v is 6 m/s and time i.e. t is 3 sec.

We have to find the acceleration of the motorcyclist.

Now,

Using the First Equation Of Motion,

v = u + at

As, we have v = 6, u = 0 and t = 3

Substitute them in the above formula to find the value of acceleration (a).

→ 6 = 0 + a(3)

→ 6 = 0 + 3a

→ 6 = 3a

Divide by 3 on both sides

→ 6/3 = 3a/3

→ 2 = a

→ a = 2

Therefore, the acceleration of the motorcyclist is 2 m/s².
