Let his total ride be xkm 

Acc. to the question a motorist has travelled 122km before his first stop now he had 10% to complete his stop   therefore his left over journey

   = x + 10% of x =122km= 110.90km(approx)

his total ride(or journey) =122+110.90km=232.90=233km.
