a multistorey building has 25 floors above the ground level each of height 5m. A lift in building moves at the rate of 1m/s. If a man starts from 50m above the ground how long will it take to reach 2nd floor of the basement?​

To reach the ground level he will take (1*50)sec =50sec at thr speed of 1m/s

So, the height of 2nd floor of basement = 5*2=10 m

Time taken to reach the 2nd floor of basement = (1*10)=10sec

Total time taken =(10+50)s=60sec

Given,

1 floor = 5m

25 floor = 125 m

lift travel at speed of 1m/s

1 mins = 60 metres

now lift have to move from 50 metres above and 2 floor in basement =50+(2×5)

=60 m

60 m is the totall lenght that lift should travel

it travel at speed of 1m per s

so,

60× 1

=60 sec= 1 minute

in 1 minute lift can cover whole distance
