The Day When I Realized That The World Is Bigger Than I Had Thought
I had no idea about the enormity of the world initially. I thought it consisted of my home, my locality, my city, my state, or my country. However, one day I got an opportunity to visit a planetarium where I saw a video made by NASA. That video had been made by using data that space telescope Hubble had collected over the years. That video showed me that our world is just a tiny speck in the infinite vast space that is interspersed with billions of galaxies, stars, solar systems, black holes, etc. my head just began to feel at the infinite vastness of our world. It was that day I realized that the world is bigger than I had thought.
Thus intrigued by the vastness of the world, I was drawn towards spirituality. I began practicing yoga and meditation. My pursuit for wisdom led me to the Himalayas. There I learnt some deep meditation from the masters. One day, sitting alone on a mountain peak, I was practicing some yoga techniques. All of a sudden I began experiencing universal consciousness state of mind. In that state of mind I experienced infinite vastness of our world.
The vastness I had seen at the planetarium and the universal consciousness experience were quite similar. Now, often my consciousness tries to touch the remotest places of the universe that lie millions of lights years from our planet. I live in wonder of this unfathomable vastness.
