10 %in increased means 0.1 units are increased ..
As R is directly poportional to l
There fore 10%will increase in resistance..

JunaidMirza: R is inversely proportional to cross section area too. While stretching a wire it’s cross section area decreases.

R = ρL/A
R = ρL² / V

On stretching the wire volume (V) remains same.
So, R ∝ L²

ΔR/R = 2 × ΔL/L
= 2 × 10%
= 20%

∴ Percentage increase in resistance is approximately 20%

[Note: Exact value of percentage increase in resistance will be 21%]
