probability is the no. of times the favourable outcome came divided by the no. of total outcomes
so no. of times 4 or 3can occur when die is rolled once=2
so probability=2/6=1/3

Hi ☺☺
Sample Space ( or Possible Outcome )
: { 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 }
=> n(S) = 6
Event E: Uppermost face will be a 3 or 4
{ 3 , 4 }
=> n(E) = 2
Probability ,
P(E) = n(E)/n(S)
= 2/6 = 1/3
