Based on the findings of international educational research, effective classroom practice in multilingual contexts have findings like -
1. The students learn best in the language which they know the best.
2. Teachers teach most effectively in the language they are most familiar with.
3. The longer teaching and learning take place in the first language, the better the educational outcomes.
Communicating with other students in the language they knew best builds confidence, capability, good humor and social skills of the children. Therefore, it is important to provide opportunities for them to display these same qualities in the classroom too.
It is important to positively emphasize the value that knowledge of different languages and cultures brings to people’s lives in general and the classroom and so, also the discriminatory perceptions of low-status castes should be acknowledged and supported.

Multilingualism is not a problem but an amazing opportunity for children of various backgrounds to appreciate one another's uniqueness.
While in theory it seems better to rely on one 'unifying' language, in the long run, this only leads to destruction of one's own local culture, customs and languages.
In a school setting, every child's language needs to be celebrated. This does not only encourage children to be proud of who they are, it gives a chance for them to be more creative and develop into an Indian citizen who is more aware of their rich national traditions
