A novice electrician, while carrying out some repairs in Sumit's house, tried to
put a piece of tungsten wire in a 'fuse. Sumit's father, on noticing this, stopped
him from doing so. Give reasons as to why he did that.

Sumit's father stopped the electrician from putting a piece of tungsten wire in a fuse because tungsten has a high melting point. If it is used as a wire in a fuse, it will be useless since if a voltage becomes high the appliances connected to it will get fused.
