In ordinary arithmetic, the expression has no meaning, as there is no number which, when multiplied by 0, gives a (assuming a ≠ 0), and so division by zero is undefined. Since any number multiplied by zero is zero, the expression 00 is also undefined; when it is the form of a limit, it is an indeterminate form.

A number divided by zero is not defined.
Explanation:
- A number divided by zero has no meaning.
- When we divide a number by 0 it is not defined.
- Every multiple of 0 is 0 itself.
- Therefore, 0 cannot be divided by any number.
- When we are using limits then a number divided by 0 tends to infinity.
- The number tends to infinity because we cannot sense the exact number therefore we take it as infinity.
- Hence, a number divided by 0 is not defined.
