let the two digit number be 10x+y as we represent a two digit number in general in this way only.and the reversed form will be 10y+x.
the tens digit is =x
the ones place digit =y
according to question,
10x+y+18=10y+x-------(I)
and x+y=4-------(II)
so in ii equation,
x=4-y
substituting the value of x in equation(I)
10(4-y)+y+18=10y+(4-y)
=>40-10y+y+18=10y+4-y
=>58-9y=9y+4
=>58-4=9y+9y
=>54=18y
=>y=54/18
=>y=6/2
=>y=3
so the units digit is 3(y)
and from the (ii) equation
x+3=4
so x=1
and therefore putting values of both in the place of x and y we get the original number is 13.
