Answer:

23

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's the digit at ones place be x.

Then, the digit at tens place =(5-x)

Number formed =10×(5-x)+x

=)50-10x+x

=)50-(10-1)x

=) (50-9x)

The number formed when the digits are interchanged.

=) 10x + (5-x)

=)10x - x +5

=)9x+5

Now, according to the question,we have

(50-9x) + 9=9x + 5

  • 50-9x+9 = 9x+5
  • -9x-9x=5-50-9 (transposing 9x toL.H.S and 50 or 9 to R.H.S)
  • -18x = 5-59
  • -18x=-54
  • x= -54/-18
  • x=3

The digit in the ones place is 3 and the digit in tens place =(5-x)= 5-3= 2.

Hence,the number is 23.
