let the digits be a and b

a + b = 8

10a + b + 18 = 10b + a

10b + a - 10a -b = 18

9b -9a = 18

9 (b-a) = 18

b-a = 18/9 = 2

b - a = 2

b + a = 8

b - a + b + a = 2 + 8 =10

2b = 10

b = 10/2 = 5

a = 8-5 = 3

b = 5, a = 3

the initial number is 35

the reversed number is 53
