A number consists of two digits whose sum is 9. If 27 is subtracted from the number its
digits are reversed. Find the number.

ATQ,

10x + y is a two digit number and 10y + x is the reversed number.

we are given that two numbers- let's call them x and y form 9 when They are added.

ie ( x + y = 9) ---------------(i)

10x + y - 27 = 10y - x ( Given)

9x - 27 = 9y

( x - y = 3 ) ------------------(ii)

Now add equation (i) and (ii)

Therefore we get ~

2x = 12

x = 12/2 = 6

since x = 6,

y = 3 ( because x + y = 9)

Now,

therefore the two digit number is 63.
