A number is 2/5 times another number if their sum is 70 find the number

Let the number be X

then
another number is 2x/5

So

X +2x/5 = 70

7x/ 5 = 70

7x = 70×5

X = 70×5/7

X = 10×5

X = 50 Ans

the number is 50
