Given:-

A number is 25 more than its 5/6 part .

To find:-

The number

Solution:-

Let the number be X

5/6 th part of the number

= (5/6) of X

= (5/6)×X

= (5×X)/6

= 5X/6

According to the given problem

The number = 5/6th part of the number + 25

=> X = (5/6) of X +25

=> X = (5X/6)+25

=> X - (5X/6) = 25

=> (6X-5X)/6 = 25

=> X/6 = 25

=> X = 25×6

=> X = 150

Therefore, The number = 150

Answer :-

The required number is 150

Check

The number = 150

5/6th of 150 = (5/6)×150

= (5×150)/6

On adding 25 to 125 then it will be 150

150 is 25 more than its 5/6 part
