Let the number be “x ”

x - 56 =( 3x/4 + x/12 ) /2

x - 56 = (9x/12 + x/12 )/2

x - 56 = 10x/24

x - 5/12x = 56

7x/12= 56

7x = 56 * 12 = 672

x = 672/7 = 96

Therefore, the number is 96 .

Hope helped!
