To Find,

The probability of selecting an odd number.

Solution,

The formula for calculating the probability of an event is

Probability of an event = Favourable outcomes/Total outcomes

In this case,

Favourable outcomes = 5 (1,3,5,7,9)

Total outcomes = 10.

So

Probability of getting an odd number = 5/10 = 1/2

Hence, the probability of getting an odd number is 1/2.

Solution ; probability means possibility of occuring of an event the probability of an evennt can not be greater than 1 and less than 0 it is should always lie between 1 and 0

Total numbers = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,6, 7, 8, 9 , 10

Odd numbers = 1 , 3, 5, 7 , 9

Probability = odd numbers/ total numbers

= 5 / 10

= 1/2

Hence the probability is 1/2
