Step-by-step explanation:

let the no. be x

let the second no. be 2x

let the third no. be 2×2x

x + 2x + 4x = 8 - 8x

7x = 8 - 8x

7x + 8x = 8

15x = 8

x = 8/15

Answer:

Let the original no. be x

Second no.= 2x

Third no.= 4x

A/q,

x+2x+4x= 8x-8

=> 7x= 8x - 8

=> 7x - 8x= -8

=> -x= -8

=> x= 8

Therefore, The original no. is 8
