A number is selected at random from integers 1 to 100. Find the probability that it is(i) a perfect square(ii) not a perfect cube.​

Total no. of favourable outcomes of getting a perfect square no. = 10 i.e

(1,4,9,16,25,36,49,64,81,100)

(i)Probability that it is a perfect

square = 10/100 = 1/10

(ii) Favourable outcomes of getting perfect cube = 4 i.e (1,8,27,64)

Probability of getting perfect cube = 4/100 = 1/25

Therefore, probability of getting that it is not a perfect cube = 1- 1/25

= 25-1/25 = 24/25
