Step-by-step explanation:

Numbers are of two kinds: Imaginary and Real.

Real numbers can either be rational or irrational.

2.5 is a rational number which is not an integer. There are infinitely many numners which are rational but not integer.

√5 is an irrational number. There are also infinitely many irrational numbers.

A rational number is a number which can be written as a ratio of two whole numbers (integers). For example 5 is a rational number since 5 can be written as ratio of 5 : 1 . 5 is also an integer.

2.5 is a rational number since it is a ratio of 5 : 2 . And 2.5 is not an integer.

So all integers are rational numbers, but all rational numbers are not integers.
