Answer:

Let the required number be x

Fifth part of this number by 4 =

\frac{x}{5} + 4 \\

Fourth part of this number decreased by 10 =

 \frac{x}{4} - 10 \\

According to given condition, we have :

 \frac{x}{5} + 4 = \frac{x}{4} - 10 \\ = > \frac{x}{4} - \frac{x}{5} = 4 + 10

 = > \frac{5x - 4x}{20} = 14 \\

 = > 5x - 4x = 14 \times 20 = > x = 280

Hence the required number is 280
