Tiger is a very beautiful wild animal.  Tigers live together in families in thick forests. They are (man-eaters) carnivores. They live by group hunting of deers, buffalos and such animals.

Tiger is the national animal of India. Bengal tigers are famous in the world. Many thousands of  tigers were hunted and killed by poachers, kings, some rich people and some British officials.  So now in India we do not have many tigers left. Government started a project Tiger in 1973 to save their population.Because of this project, the population of tigers is increased and is just about a two thousand two hundred, that's all. Poaching and killing tigers is illegal. It is punishable under law.

A tiger is very strong and it can run at 40 kmph. Tiger is an animal of "Cat" family. That is why tigers have whiskers above their mouths. There are beautiful black stripes on the skin of tigers. They are yellow in color. Tigers are heavy and could be upto 250 kilos also. Female tigers are lighter. Tigers are preserved in many zoos and national parks of India.

I like tigers. They look so royal. When someone is ferocious or performing good, we call him or her a tiger. It is an honor. Tigers are our pride. We need to save tigers. Let us contribute positively to project tiger

here's your answer

Explanation:

Good morning! Respected Principal, teachers and my dear companions, I stand before you to speak on the topic – Save Tiger. Perhaps the most beautiful of God’s creations are the birds and animals of the world. And among the most ferocious of these, is the proud tiger. This creature is also the national animal of India.

Tiger is a wild animal found in deep forests, wildlife centuries and now in zoos as well. They are helpful in maintaining the ecosystem as they are carnivorous in nature.

But it is really sad to say, that we are only left with few. Saving them is the only option left. Save tiger was an initiative taken by the government of India in 1973 to put a ban on illegal hunting and poaching of tigers.

As hunting of tigers was a favourite pastime for kings. Tigers started decreasing in number. The truth is that they are on the verge of extinction. They are also becoming less in number due to deforestation because people cut down trees to fulfil their needs but they often forget that they are destroying the habitat of many.

Saving them has become a matter of concern for many parts of the world. If the tigers go extinct the whole system will be disturbed. The need of the hour is that such beautiful and royal species should be preserved and protected if we don’t want to hear them in stories like dinosaurs.

We as students should also help the government in spreading awareness among people and also work towards protecting our environment. A proper check on tigers should be done in both forests and zoos by the government. Tigers are one of a kind, so please keep them in mind.

Thank you.
