A pair of dice are rolled. find the probability that they sum to 7 given that neither die shows a '2'.

All possible outcomes in throwing a pair of dice are 6^{2} = 36

Since, 2 will not come as outcome

So, pair of outcomes which shows the sum 7 are: (1,6); (3,4); (4,3); (6,1)

Favourable outcomes= 4

Total outcomes= 36

P (E) = {4}/{36}

= {1}/{9}
