I recently went to vaishno Devi - few things to know 1. If you plan to climb lot of people would suggest go in the night, no need for this especially in winters bcos in the night most of shops r closed plus restrooms are dirty on the way. .2. While climbing shops will end at a point so store your water with you. Dont depend on shops. 3. Food - unlike earlier you dont get food stalls at every junction- only bhojanalaya that too at a certain distance. Only stalls you see is nescafe and they just give you packed juices and coffee at the max , not even water bottles and they are very rude to talk to. 4. If you cannot climb take the mule right from start - if you are afraid of mule you can climb till adhkwari there is battery car ticket counter. But remember this - this also has timings- they will close counter from 2:15- 4 PM almost for lunch break. SO you need to hit the counter before that. 5. once you are reaching bhavan there are 2 cloak rooms seen on the way to keep your luggage and your purse . mobile, sandals everythign. cloak room 1 will always be crowded because cloak room 2 is like 30-40 steps down and people who have been climbing they would find it very tough to go down and up again. 6. Eat wherever you get food bcos you may not get food soon . 7. Go light, unless you are going in peak winters where you need more winter wear.

I was getting bored in my summer holidays , because we were not going anywhere for vacation ...
But , on one evening my father very surprisingly asked us to do the packing for Vaishno Devi ..My happiness was busting in air .....We planned to go there by train as to look the scenery between is amazing !!!
We all packed our things ...For packing it took 3 days as our trip was planned for 5 days ...

When my train came to station , I was shouting in excitement . We managed our things to get into our respective births . . It took approx. two days to reach there as it was in northernmost region and I lived in central India..

Everyone there advised us to take least most things in Yatra or while climbing on such a great height ..So we put all our things in hotel and moved for Yatra ..Btw we also had some food so that we can get energy...We started climbing ..For a few kilometres it looks that it is easy to climb , but later on realised that it was so so large distance. While our Yatra , we saw in numerous monkeys chirping all round trying to get Prasad ...but I enjoyed that scene ...

Almost after such a long distance we managed to reach Dharamshala or main temple ....

That journey was amazing !!!!

Hope it helps u!!!:)
