The Prime Minister of India unfurls the National Flag over the Red Fort in Delhi on this day.It is also celebrated in schools and colleges. The teachers address the children and explain the importance of Independence. The children sing patriotic songs. This day reminds us of the great sacrifices made by our leaders to win freedom.
