SUPW stands for Social Useful Productive Work. its an important part of ICSE curriculum especially in lower classes. It involve creating art and craft by reusing waste and serving the society by various means like Community Service Clubs which donate to orphanages and other needy people. SUPW is commonly clubbed with Art and Craft.

It helps in-

(a) Inculcation of positive attitudes to work in the

students;

(b) Identifying themselves with the community

by rendering Social and Community Service;

(c) Making the community conscious of scientific

advancements and help it develop a scientific

outlook;

(d) Learning to apply one's classroom and

vocationalised knowledge to solve day-to-day

problems of the community;
