We know that, parallelogram on the equal bases and between the same parallels are equal in area. So, ratio of their areas is 1 :1.

And area of second parallelogram be P2​

⇒  Area of parallelogram =b×h

⇒  P1​=b1​×h1​

⇒  P2​=B2​×h2​

⇒  b1​=b2​             [ As per the question ]

⇒  h1​=h2​             [ As the distance between 2 parallel lines is always equal ]

∴  P1​=b×h        ------ ( 1 )

∴  P2​=b×h

By equating ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) we get,

⇒  P1​=P2​

⇒  P1​:P2​=1:1
