a parallelogram has a base of 10cm and an altitude of 3 cm .kite has diagonals of 6 cm and 9cm which figure has a greater area and why

given :-

base of the parallelogram = 10cm

altitude of the parallelogram = 3cm

formula to find the area of a parallelogram is base × altitude

therefore it's area = 10 × 30

= 30cm²

given :-

diagonals of the kite 6cm and 9cm and formula to find the area of a rhombus is same as a rhombus, 1/2 × d1 × d2 where d1 and d2 are the
diagonals.

therefore it's area = 1/2 × 6 × 9

= 3 × 9

= 27cm²

we can clearly see that area of the parallelogram is greater than of the kite.
