Answer:

6 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the question two adjacent sides are 15 cm the longer side and 12cm the shorter side .

The distance between the longer side = ?

The distance between the shorter side = 7.5cm.

let the distance between the longer side BE be x cm .

let's take AD as the base as we know the distance of the shorter side .

Area of the parallelogram = Base× Height

= AD × BF

= 12 cm × 7.5 cm

= 90 sq.cm

Now, let's take DC as the base as we don't know the distance of the longer side .

Area of the parallelogram = Base × Height

= DC×BE

=15 cm × x cm

So , DC × BE = AD × BF

15 cm × x = 12 cm × 7.5 cm

15 cm × x = 90 sq . cm

x = 90 sq . cm ÷ 15 cm

x = 6 cm ( ANS )

So , the answer is 6 cm.

The distance between the longer side is 6 cm.
