Given :  A parallelogram

Base = 3 feet

Height = 2/3 foot

To Find : area of the parallelogram

Solution:

area of the parallelogram = Base * height

Base = 3 feet

Height = 2/3 foot

=>Area of the parallelogram = 3 x (2/3)

= 2  sq feet

Parallelogram can be decomposed in 2 triangle by joining either AC or BD

Area of triangle = (1/2) x base * height

Hence area of each triangle = (1/2) Area of the parallelogram

= (1/2) * 2

= 1 sq feet
