A parent pulls a toboggan with three children at a constant velocity for 38 m along a horizontal snow-covered trail. The total mass of the children and the toboggan is 66 kg. The force the parent exerts is 58 N [18° above the horizontal].

Answer:

According to my personal opinion the answer will be the vertical component of the force applied, the weight of the kids and toboggan and the normal reaction exerted by the ground on the toboggan and the kids.

Explanation:

Work done can be defined as:

W=Fscosθ

From here it is clear that if cos value is 0 then the work done will be zero.

So the forces acting perpendicular to the direction of motion  will be doing zero work.

From resolving the force of the parent into 2 components we see that the vertical component of force does no work as it is perpendicular to the direction of motion.

Same thing applies to the weight and normal reaction as well.

As they too are perpendicular to the direction of motion.
