Therefore area of 1 triangle

(1 side of the diagonal

Thus;

  • a = 70m
  • b = 80m
  • c = 240m

s \:  =  \frac{a + b + c}{2}  \\ s \:  =  \frac{70 + 80 + 240}{2}  \\ s \:  =  \frac{390}{2}  \\ s \:  = 195 \: m

Thus using heron's formula;

    \sqrt { s(s-a)(a-b)(s-c)  }  =  area

∆ =

√{(240)(240-70)(240-80)(240-150)}

√{240 × 170 × 160 × 90}

√{587520000}

= 24238 approx.
