Given :

Hypotenuse = 50 cm

Perpendicular = 40 cm

Find :

The cost of leveling the ttriangular park the rate of Rs. 3 per m².

According to question,

• By Pythagoras Theorem,

⇒ (H)² = (P)² + (B)²

H = Hypotenuse

P = Perpendicular

B = Base

Substitute the known values in above formula

⇒ (50)² = (40)² + (B)²

⇒ 2500 = 1600 + (B)²

⇒ 2500 - 1600 = (B)²

⇒ 900 = (B)²

⇒ B = √900

⇒ B = 30 cm

• Area of triangle = 1/2 × b × h

⇒ 1/2 × 40 × 30

⇒ 20 × 30

⇒ 600 cm²

• Cost of leveling the triangular park at the rate of 3 per cm² = 30 × 3

⇒ Rs. 90

∴ Rs. 90 is the cost of leveling the right angle triangle at the rate of Rs. 3 per cm².
