Solution

Given :-

  • Length of Rectangular park = 30 cm
  • Breadth of rectangular park = 20 cm
  • 2 cm road in aide of park in around .

Find :-

  • Area of road .

Explantion

Using Formula

\boxed{\tt{\red{\:Area_{Rectangular\:park}\:=\:(Length\times Breadth)}}}

So, First Calculate Area,

==> Area of rectangular park = 30 × 20

==> Area of rectangular park = 600 cm²

Here, 2 cm road around the park .

If, we take 2 cm around whole park , its create a new Rectangular park.

Where,

  • Length of new rectangular park = (30-2) = 28 cm
  • Breadth of new rectangular park = (20-2) = 18 cm

So, Calculate new area of Rectangular park.

==> Area of new Rectangular park = 28 × 18

==> Area of new Rectangular park = 504 cm².

Now, we calculate area of road .

For this,

Area of road = Area of rectangular park - Area of new rectangular park

==> Area of road = 600 - 504

==> Area of road = 96 cm².

Hence

  • Area of road will be = 96 cm²
