So, Principal at 7% = 1500-x

Formula : SI = \frac{P\times R \times T}{100}

396 = \frac{x\times 10 \times 3}{100}+ \frac{(1500-x) \times 7 \times 3}{100}

396 = \frac{3x}{10}+ \frac{21(1500-x) }{100}

x=900

Hence  the sum lent at 10%p.a. is 10%
