(a) Why do H, Li and Na show similar properties?
(b) Mg atom is bigger than Be atom. Why?
(c) Why are He, Ne and Ar called Noble gases?

1) As u know that elements which belong to same group shows similar properties....because they have same valence electron ....


2) Mg is bigger due to shielding of electrons...in Be more electrons are attracted towards the nucleus and shielding of electrons is less...while in Mg electrons are least attracted and more shielding power


3)We know that any element which have octet electrons in outermost shell is called as noble gases....He Ne Ar have eight electrons in their outermost shell....so they are called as noble gas or inert gas


4) The name of the group is halogens....or salt family
