Then the time for which body travelled will be:-

For velocity v1,

t1=(x/3)/v1.

For velocity v2,

t2=(x/3)/v2.

For velocity v3,

t3=(x/3)/v3. (time=distance/speed)

Total time t=(x/3)(1/v1 +1/v2 + 1/v3).

Hence,

Avg speed= Total distance/total time taken.

=3/(1/v1 + 1/v2 + 1/v3)
