Hey Mate!!

Given,

u = 36 km/hr = 10 m/s

v = 72 km/hr = 20 m/s

t = 5 seconds

WKT, v = u + at

→ 20 = 10 + 5a

→ 20 - 10 = 5a

→ 10 ÷ 5 = a

a = 2 m/s²

Therefore, acceleration is 2 m/s².

v² - u² = 2as

⇒ 72² - 36² = 2(2)s

⇒ 5184 - 1296 = 4s

⇒ 3888 = 4s

⇒ s = 3888 ÷ 4

s = 972 m

Therefore, the particle traveled 972 meters.
