V= 0 m/s
(1) by 1st equation of motion
V = u + at
0 = 25 + a(10)
-25/10 = a
-2.5 m/s^2
retardation = 2.5 m/s
(2) By 2nd equation of motion
S = ut + 1/2 at^2
S = 25(10) + 1/2( -2.5(10)^2)
S = 250 + 1/2 ( -250)
S = 250 - 125
S = 125m
