A particle is moving eastwards with a velocity of 5 m/s. In 10 sec, the velocity changes to 5 m/s northwards. The average acceleration in this time is:
1) zero
2) 1/root 2 towards north-west
2) 1/root 2 towards north-east
3) 1/2 towards north

Answer:

it would be zero

Explanation:

a.t.q the velocity is constant. even if we consider initial velocity : 5 m/s eastwards

and final velocity as: 5 m/s north wards

by using equation: a = v-u/t

=> a = 5-5 m/s /t

=> a = 0m/s2

Hope it helps!!
