Given :

➳ Radius of circular path = R

➳ No. of revolutions = 3/4

To Find :

➾ Distance covered by particle.

Concept :

➨ Distance is defined as the actual length of path which is covered by moving object.

➨ It is a scalar quantity.

➨ It has only magnitude.

➨ It can't be negative or zero.

➨ SI unit : m

Calculation :

⇒ Distance (d) = 3/4 × 2πR

⇒ d = 3/4 × 2 × πR

d = 1.5πR

ANSWER

Radius = R

No. of Revolutions = 3/4

Distance covered in 1 revolution = 2 π r⠀...(Circumference is the distance covered)

Distance covered in 3/4 revolutions = 3/4 × 2 π R

Distance covered in 3/4 revolution = 3 π R /2

Distance covered in 3/4 revolution = 1.5 π R

\thereforeYour answer = 1.5 π R
