It is necessary that particle should move in a straight line for achieving uniform velocity. This is because moving in circular path will result in continuous change in direction leading to accelarated motion which has non uniform velocity. Plz thumbs up!!!

When you say constant velocity, I think of it as constant velocity along a straight line because if you're in a circular motion, due to change in the direction your instantaneous velocity keeps changing.
Having cleared this, the answer to your question is yes. Uniform motion is when there is no acceleration. And arising from that promise, the velocity remains constant too.
