A particle is moving with a uniform velocity. Is it necessary that it si moving along a straight line?? If yes Why?

Velocity is a vector quantity so it depends on both magnitude and on direction so if u change the direction its velocity will change ....For uniform velocity , the motion should have a particular direction I..e its motion should be in 1 D or in a straight line ...however the velocity can be uniform in a circular path but here the velocity will be the angular velocity...
