A particle is thrown up vertically with a velocity of 50 ms-1. how high would the particle rise and what time would it take to reach the highest point? (g = 10 ms-2)

=>Initial velocity(u)=50 m/s
=>At highest point final velocity(v)=0 m/s
using equation of motion we get,
=> v = u -gt
=> 0=50 - 10t
=> 50 = 10t
=> t=50/10=5 sec
HEIGHT OF PARTICLE:
here, t=5 sec
=> u=50 m/s
using h = ut - 0.5gt^2 :
=> h=50x5 - 0.5x10x(5)^2
=> h=250 - 125
=> h = 125 answer
